NAME: Joe CONTACT:
notJoe ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: I'm on Pacific time (GMT-8) and mostly tag in the mornings and early afternoons, and I will try to tag every thread at least once a day. I'll almost never tag on weekends, though, sorry all. BRACKETS/PROSE: I default to brackets but I'm happy to switch to prose. OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Our characters can talk about anything. IN CHARACTER
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: To show great, strong physical affection, Wolfwood will punch his adult male friends. He won't touch anyone else.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Yes. Wolfwood is prone to physical violence.
RELATIONSHIPS: He's good at keeping his head down and doing the work required, so he can be on a team with just about anybody. Don't expect him to acknowledge friendships even if he's clearly being friendly with someone. His priorities are, in order, his ~*friend*~, his brother, any kids, any non-combatants, everyone else.
PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: He has zero psychic abilities but I love playing with psychic characters! Let me know that's a skill your character has and I'll include content in his tags for them to pick up on. The narrative (the stuff in brackets) is always fair game for a mind reader.
MAGICAL INFORMATION: Wolfwood is not entirely human. To use a Star Wars metaphor, he's packed full of midichlorians that might register as one or more of the following: alien, extra-dimensional, potential energy/nuclear, or corrupt and foul. Let's talk before your character detects this about him, please.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: To the average doctor, Wolfwood will seem like an incredibly jacked and healthy person. On closer inspection (which he won't allow anyone to do, because he doesn't like doctors) his bones show signs of rapid growth and there's some scarring on some of his internal organs.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Wolfwood won't talk about his past, but the narrative might include: kidnapping, physical child abuse, child murder, medical experimentation, depersonalization, graphic murder, alcoholism, body horror, depression and anxiety. Let me know if there's any of these topics you don't want to come up in our threads (broadly or specifically, eg "no medical experiementation at all" or "please no eye stuff") and I'm happy to leave it out. That content might show up in other threads with other people though, fair warning.
OUT OF CHARACTER
BACKTAGGING: I will backtag until the game plot moves past the point where we need to wrap our thread up. If it's two people on a job digging a big hole, that thread can be backtagged forever. If it's something where there's potential injuries or interpersonal stuff that will inform how our characters interact with the game plot, then I'll ask to wrap it up (which can be a summary tag, a quick boomerang, or handwaving -- I'm good with any of those!) I also really don't like writing more than one thread at a time with a set of characters, so I'd prefer to wrap up the current thread before starting another. I have to RP ina linear fashion, sorry, or else I lose track of what's going on.
THREADHOPPING: If it makes sense for the scene (that is, it's not a private conversation), sure! The more the merrier. Just ping me first so everyone involved can agree before jumping in.
FOURTHWALLING: He won't believe anyone who says he's fictional, so sure, I guess? But that's a good way to get him to ignore your character going forward.
NOT INTERESTED IN: Romance (he's spoken for, kinda).
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: Wolfwood's a big guy. He's 6' / 1.8m with shaggy dark hair, tan skin, and grey eyes. He's one of those Dorito-shaped superhero types, with very broad shoulders and big arms, although the suit he wears tends to downplay his bulk a little. His default expressions are either a scowl or a smirk, and it's usually the scowl -- he's got some pretty bad resting bitch face. He will almost always be wearing a black suit with a white collared shirt underneath (although the shirt might be grey or another color, depending on what he can find here in Panorama). He wears his collar open down to his sternum. There's a pistol in a shoulder holster under that suit, but he's good at concealing it. There's also cigarettes in the inside pocket. He often wears dark sunglasses, even when it's not bright out enough to justify them.
AURAL: His voice is low, a little gravelly, and he talks with an accent. Canonically this is kansaiben, but in English it's more street. When he's calm his voice is relatively quiet, but he's quick to shout and curse and his voice can definitely carry when he wants it to.
OLFACTORY:Wolfwood smells like cigarettes, and sweat, and soap. He doesn't wear cologne. Sometimes he'll smell like gunpowder. Sometimes he'll smell like blood.
DEMEANOUR: Wolfwood is gruff and terse on his best days. He's snarky with kids (in the best way -- he likes kids), short but polite-ish with ladies and old folks (he'll drop a ma'am if he has to), and with everyone else it's clear that he thinks they're an idiot. He'll help, but only under duress, and he'll grumble about it the whole time. He was a dog on a leash for a long time, and so he's prone to snapping and biting (sometimes literally) when forced into a corner by an authority figure. If there's a fight, get him on your side.
